Your Next Photography Assignment

Do you remember the pictures we looked at from classrooms around the world?  It was interesting to see children from other countries in their classrooms.  We spotted some similarities and plenty of differences!

You can see them all again if you click on this link: http://gu.com/p/3abyq

Your task this week is to take a portrait of a whole class - including the teacher and other adults.

Here are some things to think about and discuss with your challenge group when you plan your class portrait:
  • Where will be the best place to put the camera?
  • Where do you want the children and the teacher to be?
  • Do you want them to pose, or do you want them to look natural?
  • Can you show people outside school what learning looks like?
  • Do you want everyone to be still, or can they be moving?
  • When will be the best time to take the picture?
Mrs Hollows will give each Challenge Group a class to take a picture of.  When you have completed your task, each group can post their best class portrait on this blog.  You can then write comments on the blog about the other groups' pictures.  I will do this too, before the next time I see you.

Good luck - and remember: slow down and take lots of pictures!

Graham
